CHANGING TRACTION OF THE WILTON TO FELIXSTOWE ‘LINER’ • Living next to the East Coast Main Line at Tollerton, just north of York, Richard McCart was able to take many photographs of the 4L79 Wilton to Felixstowe ‘Freightliner’ over the years. This working has produced a variety of loco classes and, while 4L79 no longer runs, its successors still grace the line through Tollerton. Today's workings originate at Tees Dock and run either direct to or from Felixstowe or to Doncaster, where additional containers are loaded.
